DALLAS\u2014January 23, 2025\u2014<\/strong>O\u2019Melveny announced today that esteemed real estate lawyer Kyle Davis has joined the firm\u2019s Dallas office as a partner in the Project Development & Real Estate Practice Group. Her arrival further strengthens O\u2019Melveny\u2019s nationwide real estate finance and development capabilities at a time when client demand for sophisticated real estate counsel has never been higher.<\/p>\n

Davis brings nearly 15 years of experience and a broad-based practice to O\u2019Melveny. She advises banks, insurance companies, developers, and institutional borrowers and lenders on a vast array of real estate matters, including property acquisitions and dispositions, commercial construction and term loans, development projects, joint ventures, leasing, and asset management. Her work spans a wide range of asset classes\u2014from industrial parks, office buildings, and retail shopping centers to senior healthcare facilities and multifamily, condominium, and mixed-use projects.<\/p>\n

Named one of the \u201cBest Lawyers in Dallas Under 40\u201d by D Magazine<\/em>, Davis is recognized as a next-generation leader in the real estate sector. She is a member of the Texas Real Estate Council and CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). She comes to O\u2019Melveny from the Dallas office of Locke Lord (now Troutman Pepper Locke), where she served on that firm\u2019s Board of Directors and was a member of the Real Estate and Finance Practice Group.<\/p>\n

Davis\u2019s addition accelerates the strategic growth of O\u2019Melveny\u2019s Real Estate team. She is the sixth real estate partner to join O\u2019Melveny since 2020, bolstering the breadth and depth of the practice and extending the team\u2019s footprint into Texas\u2014home to three of the ten most active commercial real estate markets in the US.<\/p>\n

Davis\u2019s arrival further propels O\u2019Melveny\u2019s rapid expansion in Texas and around the world. Since 2021, the firm has added nearly 80 lawyers\u2014including 29 partners\u2014across its three Texas offices. Firmwide, Davis is the 28th lateral partner to join O\u2019Melveny since 2023, including 18 corporate partners based in the firm\u2019s Dallas, Houston, Singapore, London, New York, Los Angeles, and Century City offices.<\/p>\n

Davis earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University. She is a fellow of the J.L. Turner Legal Association, a nonprofit that funds legal scholarships for Black lawyers and law students in Dallas-Fort Worth, and she serves on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Black Dance Theater and on the Board of Governors of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.<\/p>\n
